Perez feels good about Red Bull's new car: 'Lots of potential'

Sergio Perez was able to step into the RB15 on Tuesday and then into his new RB16B on Wednesday afternoon. The Mexican couldn't hide his smile when talking about the season ahead.

Perez's dream has come true this season with his chance at Red Bull Racing. For a while it looked as if he could forget Formula 1 after being sidelined by Racing Point, but then the chance came at Red Bull Racing and with it his chance at a top team. Perez enjoys every inch of the car.

''Driving a new car is always special – for the driver and also for the Team. They have been working so hard through the winter, so to finally take the car on track, it’s quite an emotional day," the Mexican told Red Bull's press release.

''I can say I think there is a lot of potential. The conditions were not great but it was nice to get a feeling for the car. It’s pretty exciting. Earlier this week I drove the RB15 but today I could feel a step in overall grip and top speed,'' concludes Max Verstappen's teammate.
