Perez looks back: 'It was a special day for me'

Sergio Perez enjoyed the Red Bull Show Run that took place in his hometown of Guadalajara last season. For the Mexican, it was one of his highlights of last calendar year, he told the official website of Red Bull Racing.

"It was a special day for me. After so many years with all these people in my house," the Mexican driver reflected in the interview on the moment in Mexico, where he drove around with a 2011 RB7. "It is one of the most special days of my career."

Perez is proud to be found in Formula 1 and doing well at Red Bull, but the motorsport class is not the only thing that interests him. In fact, there are other professions he would also like to pursue. "If I had not been a racing driver, I think I would be a lawyer. I think I would have gone for that," he states.

Next season, Perez hopes to compete for the world title at Red Bull. In the past two race years, his teammate Max Verstappen was still too strong. In 2022, the Dutch driver managed to score a whopping 159 more points. Charles Leclerc was also stronger than Perez in that year.
