Esteban Ocon has insisted his main focus is securing a
Formula 1 seat, rather than where he drives next season, playing down the possibility of him joining
Haas.
Ocon has been linked with a drive at Haas in recent weeks, replacing one of
Romain Grosjean or
Kevin Magnussen if the constructor was to relieve one of their current drivers from their role. The Frenchman missed out on a drive in 2019 after he was replaced at
SportPesa Racing Point by
Lance Stroll.
With Haas' dreadful form and Ocon's desire to return to F1, the rumours have been rife but the
Mercedes reserve driver is preferring to focus on getting back into the pinnacle of motorsport first.
"My goal is to find a seat as soon as possible, hope we find a solution," Ocon told
RMC Sport.
"As long as it's about you, it's a good thing, he's having fun, it's all rumours, there's nothing confirmed, after, when everyone is talking about you, it shows that the middle of the F1 has not forgotten you.
"What interests me the most is already being able to drive in F1, to regain the taste of starting a Grand Prix."
