Lando Norris finished sixth at the
Monaco Grand Prix. In his column on
The Telegraph, the British driver let it be known that he is a strong supporter of preserving the historic race weekend.
Due to the growing popularity of
Formula 1, the future of several circuits is under pressure. In recent months, the Monaco GP also passed by as a possible victim. Critics believe that the race on Sunday often does not provide excitement.
Norris disagrees. "I believe it should stay on the calendar," he reveals. "Not only is it an iconic venue, it is an incredible test of nerve and skill. When you are in the zone, as I was in the last 10 laps, it feels amazing."

This season, however, the excitement on Sunday was high. Due to heavy rain, the race started later than scheduled. Where
Charles Leclerc started the race on pole position, it was
Sergio Perez who emerged victorious.
Max Verstappen grabbed third place, staying ahead of his rival Leclerc.
Carlos Sainz finished in second position.
