No reason why Verstappen's team skipped Canada

Many people noticed that Max Verstappen’s father Jos and manager Raymond Vermeulen were absent from the Canadian Grand Prix, but Vermeulen has said that there was no reason for this and that it was planned.
Verstappen has been involved in a multitude of incidents and crashes and it was suggested that the Dutchman’s management team stayed away from the Canadian Grand Prix weekend to help Verstappen concentrate on the job in hand.
It seemed to work, with Verstappen scoring only his second podium finish of the season with third place in Montreal, but Vermeulen denies this, saying it was planned.
“Already at the start of the season we made an internal plan about which grands prix we would attend," he told Motorsport.com. "There was an idea discussed together with the team to have Max on his own for a race.
"So we said 'OK, let's do it for Canada.' So that was the whole story. There will be some more races where Max will be on his own, but that was already in the pipeline.”

Maybe they should stay at home some more if Max performs like that!
