No penalties handed out to Sainz and Perez after incident in Zandvoort pits

Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez found out how tight the pit lane really is at Zandvoort during the Dutch Grand Prix. Both drivers had to report to the stewards for several incidents in the pit lane, but it was ruled that neither incident was the drivers fault.

Perez was forced to report for running over a Ferrari wheelgun. The FIA stewards agreed that the driver would have had to make a very sharp turn to avoid the device, and ruled that the Mexican was not to blame for the incident. The stewards also took the cramped pit lane into account, as well as the fact that Ferrari had placed the wheelgun further away than usual.

Sainz in turn had to report that he had approached his spot in the pit lane in an unsafe manner. The Spaniard came very close to Red Bull Racing's pit crew, hitting some of the rival team's hoses. The stewards also ruled that the driver was not to blame for the incident, as the pit lane at Zandvoort is a little tighter and shorter than usual.
