Mick Schumacher has spoken about the expectation that he feels having Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher as a father. The youngster has impressed so far and has already tested for Ferrari despite only racing in Formula 2 once. It has been reported that Ferrari could be planning to fast track Mick Schumacher into Formula 1 and will hope that he is as successful as his father was.
“Obviously it’s part of me. I’m the son of my dad, and I’m happy that I am. What he did was the best ever in F1, so that’s something I look up to, and I’m happy to have him as my dad,” Schumacher said to theinsideline.com.
“I guess I wouldn’t be the person that I am now if it wasn’t for him,” he said. “Obviously we’ve shared quite a few points in karting. It helped me a lot along the way.”
“The goal for me really is to learn as much as possible,” Mick said, “to gather as much experience and then to deliver the best potential and the best performance.”
Schumacher will hope to perform well in Formula 2 this season and will hope that future tests with Ferrari come up in the future.
