Mick Schumacher to Ferrari? "I know what I have to do to prove myself"

Recently the impressive documentary about Michael Schumacher was released. The documentary was a nice mix of never before seen footage of the legendary German driver. For example, we also saw the family man Schumacher. His son Mick, currently active in F1, was also impressed.

At the podcast of the Australian, The Fast Lane son Mick gave probably the best review the makers of the documentary could have wished for: "I think it's a great documentary. I think in many ways it's the best ever made. I'm proud of everything my dad has achieved, and even prouder after seeing this film."

"The docu was able to create a portrait of him about how hard it was to win his fights, focusing on all the work he put into it," Mick said. For anyone who hasn't seen the docu, it's available to watch on Netflix. We at GPblog can only recommend it too.

Schumacher was also asked in the podcast to respond to the rumours that Mick's name is associated with Ferrari: "I know what I have to do to prove myself. Ferrari has always had a special eye on me and has helped me in many ways. Historically people associate Ferrari and the Schumacher name. It's a very special bond and I hope something like that can be repeated in the future."
