Young Kimi Antonelli claimed pole position for Saturday's Sprint in Miami with a lap time of 1:26.482. Oscar Piastri finished in P2, while Lando Norris rounded off the Top 3. The only driver to complete two laps was
Max Verstappen, as the Dutchman finished in P4 ahead of
George Russell and
Charles Leclerc.
Lewis Hamilton finished in seventh place.
It was not the best of days for Yuki Tsunoda. The Japanese driver got eliminated in SQ1, after he could start his final lap before the chequered flag was waved.
