Where Red Bull Racing normally has fast pitstops, things didn't quite work out during the Russian Grand Prix. In the end, it was Mercedes who came out on top with the fastest pit stop.
New rules around pit stops, introduced during the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, have made stops slightly slower. It took Mercedes 2.45 seconds to put Valtteri Bottas ' new set of medium tyres on his car. The DHL Fastest Pitstop Award in Sochi will therefore go to the German team.
The second fastest team was AlphaTauri with 2.50 seconds. The differences are again minimal. Ferrari with Charles Leclerc takes the third spot with 2.60 seconds. Red Bull follows on P4 with the pitstop of Max Verstappen. For Sergio Perez it went wrong, his pitstop took almost nine seconds.

Red Bull still leading

Red Bull is still at the top of the standings with a big lead over Mercedes. They currently have 360 points, while Mercedes is 161 points behind.
