Mercedes has lost one of its leading aerodynamics specialists. Jan Tomaszweski has now started at Williams, GPblog has confirmed.
Although the Tomaszweski is not a familiar name to the outside world, he was valued highly at Mercedes, where he has worked in the aerodynamics department since 2018.
Tomaszweski is now working as head of the aerodynamics department and has already started in his new role.

Another departure at Mercedes

It was recently announced that Dan Milner also left Mercedes, where he spent 14 years in various key roles within the technical department. In recent years, he served as Chief Engineer Research and Development.
Previously, Milner was, among other things, Lead Powertrain Engineer and Head of Powertrain Integration and Transmission Design; positions in which he was involved in the development and integration of the power unit.
GPblog reported last week that there are also people staying at Mercedes. George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli will keep their race engineers.
