Mercedes and Petronas help in fight against COVID-19

Formula 1 is still standing still due to the ongoing corona crisis. Many Formula 1 teams are therefore working on the production of respiratory equipment to support care.

Mercedes title sponsor Petronas also helps in the fight against COVID-19. They supply medical equipment to combat the virus. In addition, they released this video in which they address the population in the hope that everyone will stay at home as much as possible.

Petronas has been the main sponsor of the team since the return of Mercedes in Formula 1 in 2010 and has always been a prominent sponsor during the Malaysian Grands Prix. That race was held for the last time in 2017, when Max Verstappen crossed the finish line first after a fight with Lewis Hamilton.
