McLaren driver Norris robbed of watch after European Championship final at Wembley

Last night, a statement from McLaren revealed that their driver Lando Norris was robbed. This happened when he was present at the European Championship final between Italy and England at Wembley on Sunday night. The team announces that he is shocked, but unharmed.

Norris himself shared a photo on Instagram from the event and expressed his pride in the England team. Upon leaving the stadium, the 21-year-old driver was ambushed and left "shaken", according to the team's statement.

"McLaren Racing can confirm that Lando Norris was involved in an incident, after the Euro 2020 final match at Wembley, during which the watch he was wearing was taken. Thankfully, Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken," reads the statement.

McLaren said that the matter is now in the hands of the police. There had been unrest around the stadium all evening as people tried to get in without a ticket.

The incident reportedly took place when Norris was trying to get into the car. “Lando was held and another ­robber pulled off his watch in a split second," an eyewitness told The Sun. "Lando looked pretty shaken up." British media report that the watch is worth 40.000 pounds and was specially made for McLaren.
