After two victories in the first two Grands Prix of the season, McLaren travels to Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix with confidence. However, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri realize that the past does not guarantee the future.
Lando Norris is currently the championship leader. The Brit is looking forward to the race in Japan, partly because of the always enthusiastic fans. "It was good to have a week off after a positive start to our season. We had the chance to go back to Woking and celebrate [the results] with everyone."

"I also spent time in the sim and with my engineers to prepare for this triple-header. We have learnt many things from the first two races, so now it’s time to put it all into practice," Norris reports.

Piastri is already thinking about passionate Japanese fans

Feeling confident, teammate Oscar Piastri is also. The Australian won in China, but realizes that this does not guarantee a top weekend in Suzuka. "To arrive in Japan after a race win in China is a great feeling, but of course we’re aware that everything resets and we need to push again just as hard."

"It’s still extremely close at the front so we need to deliver inevery area. I’m excited to get back on track and put on a great race forthe incredibly passionate Japanese fans," Piastri concludes.
