McLaren could steal the show in 2022: 'Best driver duo in Formula 1'

Most eyes are on Mercedes, as George Russell will take a seat alongside seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, but Peter Windsor will instead turn his attention to McLaren.

Last season was a case of sometimes good and sometimes bad for the British team. At the beginning of the season Daniel Ricciardo found it difficult to get used to the car. Lando Norris managed to start the season very well, as in the second race he was already on the podium.

Nevertheless, the team managed to put in a great performance at Monza, as Ricciardo and Norris crossed the finish line first and second. Windsor feels that the Woking-based team can definitely take this momentum into 2022 and therefore expects good performances from the two McLaren drivers. "The best driver line-up in Formula 1 for sure is Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo. Daniel is at the point in his career where he can be what he is and can be quick when he needs to be and wants to be and Lando Norris is this very classy driver who I think will probably win two Grand Prix in 2022," he says on his YouTube channel.

The 22-year-old Norris managed to score four podium finishes in 2021 and also grabbed one pole position. In addition, he also often finished fourth and fifth. The Australian's best result was, of course, the victory in Italy and hopefully he can get on the podium more often this season.
