Formula 1 world championship, finishing two points behind Lando Norris after a stunning comeback.
The year was far from straightforward for
Red Bull Racing: at one point, Verstappen trailed the leader by 104 points.
In his message to the fans, Verstappen thanked them for their support.
He said on the Talking Bull podcast: "Thank you very much for sticking with us even in a very tough season, I would say, especially in the beginning.
"But at the same time, we are a team that never gives up, and I'm very proud of how we, here at the factory and our fans of course as well, kept it together."
"And at the end of the day, we celebrated again some very beautiful moments. So thank you very much for that! See you next year!"

Next year, Red Bull is set to take on a great challenge, as, for the first time, the Austrians will manufacture an in-house engine in collaboration with Ford. The team's car will be revealed on 15 January in Detroit, Michigan in the United States.
Verstappen enjoys his holiday in Brazil, tests his skills in new sport
The four-time world champion is currently on holiday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In a video uploaded by NASCAR driver Daniel Suarez, the Dutchman was also seen testing his skills in volleyball.
