Verstappen recently set up an endurance program under the name Verstappen.com Racing. The first test? The Spa-Francorchamps 24 hours, which finished just after the Austrian GP.
The media were left wating for Verstappen's reaction to his Austrian Grand Prix, because the endurance team he owns is very important for the Dutch world champion, which achieved grand sucess in its firts attempt.
Drama in Austria, beautiful day in Belgium
A bit later than usual, the retiree of the Austrian GP appeared in front of the Viaplay camera. He was asked about the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours, where Verstappen's team achieved a notable result.
"Ninth place overall and first in the gold class, so yes, that's quite a top result for us for the very first time participating in a 24-hour race," said a satisfied Verstappen.
An Austrian GP to forget
Instead of looking back at the Austrian Grand Prix, Verstappen preferred to focus on the result of his team, where the climax of the endurance race took place.
"I watched on multiple screens," laughed the Dutchman, who concludes that the Austrian GP was a disappointment, but he can still look back on a successful weekend. "It was a beautiful day there, that's important too!"
