Verstappen continues protest by hardly talking in the press conference

Max Verstappen made his view towards the FIA clear again after the Singapore Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver said a little more than Saturday but still remained tight-lipped, with shorter than usual answers.

Verstappen had little to say at the press conference after the Formula 1 race in Singapore. Asked if, as on Saturday, he preferred to answer questions outside the official FIA press room, the Dutchman responded in the affirmative: "It's been a long day. Yes."

With that, the championship leader followed up his protest towards the FIA. The governing body gave Verstappen community service for using the word 'f***ed' during the press conference on Thursday. This led to many indignant reactions, not only from Verstappen but also from drivers Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. Hamilton even encouraged Verstappen not to carry out his penalty and said he 'certainly wouldn't'.

Verstappen was slightly more talkative on Sunday than on Saturday but again made it clear he was unhappy with how things were going. He does not need to worry about an additional penalty, as GPblog already understood on Saturday that the Dutchman had participated in the press conference according to the rules.
