Marko: "Our Car Slightly Ahead of Ferrari"

Red Bull advisor and talent scout Helmut Marko thinks that his team are slightly ahead of Ferrari and on the same level as Mercedes, after the team enjoyed a successful

Daniel Ricciardo recently stated that Mercedes are still ahead of Red Bull and Ferrari, but Marko thinks the Austrian outfit is on the same level as Mercedes.

"The chassis is on the same level, but in qualifying Mercedes can squeeze out two or three tenths of a second extra. If you compare our car to last year's car, you can see the new one is way more advanced. So far, everything's working the way we want it to and hopefully we can match them [Mercedes]"

"Last year we won a race with our own strength, when Mercedes or Hamilton had no problems. Their rear tyres seem to overheat sometimes. It depends on the complete package. We have a few things coming up, so we're optimistic."

Marko then talked about Ferrari, and why he thinks Red Bull have the better car this coming season.

"Vettel drove a 1:17.1 today, but the weather conditions were colder today and we don't know how much fuel they were carrying. It looks like our car is slightly ahead of Ferrari's."
