Marko on Mercedes: 'That's where they lost the most by far'

Mercedes lost a lot of time in the fast turn 8 of Istanbul Park. However, according to Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko, the problems you encounter in one corner can often be remedied.

The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas had many problems in the second sector of Istanbul Park. "That's where they lost by far the most," says Marko in conversation with Motorsport-Magazin.com. "Unfortunately Mercedes had almost exclusively problems in turn 8. If it's just one corner, that can usually be remedied."

The track was very slippery on Friday and according to Marko that will be the case again on Saturday. "I don't think the grip level will increase dramatically", says the Austrian.
