Marko excited for "new era"

Dr. Helmut Marko describes partnership with Honda as “new era” for his Red Bull side.

The long-awaited inevitable announcement is finally official, that Red Bull Racing have switched engine suppliers from Renault to Honda for the 2019 campaign.

Motorsport advisor of Red Bull, Marko, is looking forward to a “new era” for his F1 side.

“The partnership with Honda marks the beginning of a new era for Red Bull Group in Formula One with the Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing benefiting from a joint supply coordinated by Red Bull Technology,” Marko said in his statement.

The progress that Honda have demonstrated with Red Bull’s ‘sister’ team Toro Rosso undoubtedly had a massive impact on the final agreement.

Honda earlier expressed their pride and delight that the deal has finally been announced.
