Mark Webber insists that Ferrari will not walk away from F1 following controversial plans put in place by F1’s new owners Liberty Media.
Ferrari and Mercedes have both confirmed they’re not happy about possible plans to introduce a budget cap alongside engine regulations in an attempt to make F1 participation cheaper.
As a result of this, Sergio Marchionne, Ferrari’s president, has warned that Ferrari could pull out after the 2020 season.
Australian Mark Webber said: “It’s a bit of a chess match at the moment in the background.
“They want to showcase the technology. It’s an incredibly high-end, high-technology sport and there is a glamorous (element). I would be absolutely flabbergasted if Ferrari aren’t in there in ’21 but never say never.”
