F1 Launches New Theme Music

Formula One has released new theme music ahead of the 2018 season which gets underway this weekend.

The music was created by a film composer Brian Tyler. Tyler’s work has featured on Iron Man 3 and is part of The Fast and The Furious film series.

The theme tune is now available on Youtube and other music streaming websites and apps.

Tyler said: “(It’s) an honour to be chosen to compose the Formula One theme - a lifelong dream come true as I am a massive Formula One fan.”

This new theme music is part of the sports rebranding which included a new logo which was released at the end of the 2017 season.

Earlier this week a new marketing video was released which comes alongside the new TV camera angles and online graphics.

Formula One said the changes were made “within the context of looking at ways to bring fans closer to Formula 1

“We are exploring all avenues to refresh the look and feel of the show.

“Music is a key component of the emotion of sport and we are engaging with top international talent in order to develop a new signature tune for F1.”
