For any fans wanting to go to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, this may be your chance! The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has released a decree regarding the visa that fans now need to enter the country.
For those planning to travel to Baku, the normal requirement is that travellers obtain a Electronic visa (E-Visa) before entering the country. The E-Visa is vaild for a 30 day stay and must be presented at the airport before being granted entry.
However, for those going to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, slight changes have been made.

Simplified Procedure for Baku GP

The president released a 'decree that simplifies the visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons who are arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025.'
Within that decree he added that any fans looking to travel to the country to attend the F1 race who are, "presenting any of the documents specified in Part 2 of this Order may obtain visas at international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from August 25 to September 30, 2025."
This means that for the Formula 1 fans traveling, an E-Visa does not need to be obtained beforehand as long as they can provide at least one of the correct documents.

Said documents are:
1. "An accreditation card or other document confirming accreditation in accordance with the relevant regulations of the International Automobile Federation and the "Formula One Management Limited" Company, the international organizers of Formula 1 races;"
2. "Accreditation card confirming accreditation with the Baku City Circuit Operating Company;"
3. "A ticket for the Formula 1 race to be held in Baku in 2025, including an electronic ticket or a document confirming the purchase of a ticket."
This means for regular fans traveling, all they need to do is show their race ticket at the airport and they are able to apply for their visa in house.
