Major changes for Norris and Verstappen now visible in Australia

The British driver defeated Verstappen by two points in the drivers' standings and claimed his first Formula 1 world title in 2025. As the new defending champion, the McLaren driver will wear number 1 this year on his MCL40.

After running number 1 on his car since 2022, Verstappen decided not to return to 33, but opted for a different number instead. The Dutchman will use number 3 following the FIA's rule change and Daniel Ricciardo's blessing, who previously used it.

Cadillac is also set for its first Grand Prix weekend in Melbourne with Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez driving the new MAC-26s, named after 1978 world champion Mario Andretti.
