Lots of rain in Italy: Will there be drivers on the track today?

The weather in Italy is just not as good as you would normally expect. When Formula 1 arrives in Italy there is usually beautiful weather but this weekend is different. Rain is falling from the sky right now making today's practice sessions a doubt.

It started raining last night and continues to do so today. It is likely to rain on Sunday, during the race, as well. The Formula 3 practise session has already been cancelled due to the bad weather, making fans and pundits question whether the Formula 1 practise session will be called off as well.

If the session goes ahead it will be unlikely we see much running from all the teams. With the chance of rain on Sunday quite high, teams need to limit the number of wet tyres they use as they might have to save them for the race.

Hopefully, the track will dry up a bit and we can see some cars running.
