Formula 1 lookalikes shine at Olympics: 'I'm not competing!'

Formula 1 is on summer break, which means that motorsport fans can also watch other sports. Currently, the Olympics are underway in Paris. Still, there is a bit of Formula 1 in this event, as viewers spot look-a-likes of F1 star Oscar Piastri.

Dutch gymnast Frank Rijken looks a a bit like Oscar Piastri. At least, so many people noticed while watching the Olympics. Even the McLaren driver responded under a tweet. "I can confirm that I am not competing at the Olympics," the Australian responded under a tweet ironically suggesting that. The Dutch gymnast also appreciated the F1 driver's joke and put it on his Instagram story.

Internet users recognised not only Piastri but also Bottas. According to many, the Finnish Formula One driver looked like a well-known curling athlete, and Stake got involved. "We've never seen them in the same room before," Stake wrote, followed by two side-eye emojis. By the way, these appear to be images from 2022, as curling is at the Winter Games, not the Summer Olympics.
