Gerhard Berger told Servus TV that he was impressed by Max Verstappen and according to the Austrian we should not consider it as normal that he won from Lewis Hamilton.
With an overtaking move in the last lap of the last race Verstappen won his first world title in Formula 1. Afterwards there was a lot of emotion and according to Berger that is not strange. The former Formula 1 driver stated that Verstappen did not have to beat just anyone to become World Champion.

Verstappen is exceptional

"In the end he had some luck, but Max will be champion many more times. If you look at pure talent, he is an exceptional driver. Let's not forget that he is capable of beating Lewis Hamilton, a driver who is one step away from breaking Michael Schumacher's record of world titles," the Austrian said.
According to Berger Verstappen can still grow, but it will not be easy. Berger said earlier that he thinks Verstappen is not yet at the level of Schumacher and Hamilton. In his opinion, the Red Bull driver should first win some more world titles.
