Leclerc joins debate following Verstappen’s sharp criticism of new F1 rules

Speaking to GPblog among other media, the Monegasque agreed that these new cars are not the most enjoyable to drive, but believes the real challenge lies in adapting and figuring out how to extract the maximum from them.

“So in that I kind of find some fun into just experiencing different things and things that might have not worked in the past, but now that it's all different. It's cool to be able to think a bit outside the box and to try and find other ways in trying to maximise the performance of the car. But the actual pleasure of driving the car is different.”

The reigning world champion was quick to dismiss Verstappen’s concerns surrounding Formula 1’s forthcoming regulation changes.

When speaking to GPblog during the second day of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, the McLaren driver was quizzed on Verstappen’s recent comments and offered a reply that went on to stir plenty of discussion online.
