Williams driver Nicholas Latifi says the death of Anthoine Hubert in last season's first Formula 2 race at the Spa circuit is in his thoughts. The Canadian drove the tragic accident himself last year.
"There’s definitely a bit of lingering, overshadowing emotion coming back here", said Latifi at the press conference according to RaceFans.net. "I was in the race and immediately after all the events had happened for sure there was a thought of knowing that it could have been any one of us in that race had things unfolded differently."

Trackwalk

Latifi says he experienced the trackwalk with a completely different feeling today. "It’s definitely different. Even on the track walk this morning, walking up the hill, I definitely had a glance over to the barrier at Eau Rouge and you do have those thoughts that come back a bit. I think everyone is definitely going to be racing in his honour."
Despite Hubert's thought, Latifi is looking forward to the Grand Prix weekend. The Canadian has already had his first free practice session at Spa in a Formula 1 car, but has never had a full Grand Prix.
