Kvyat: “I’ll buy him a rear-view mirror for the next race”

Daniil Kvyat says he will have to buy Daniel Ricciardo a new rear-view mirror for the Spanish Grand Prix after the Renault driver accidentally reversed into the Toro Rosso during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

An optimistic move by the Australian on Kvyat didn't work out quite how Ricciardo had planned, going deep after locking his brakes and forcing the Toro Rosso to miss turn three.

In a rush to get back on track, the Renault driver reversed directly into the stationary Russian, causing damage which put both men out of the race.

Speaking to media after the race, Kvyat joked he would be buying his former Red Bull teammate a mirror in time for Barcelona.
