Dutch Grand Prix director Jan Lammers says that the Dutch Grand Prix may have to wait until 2021 following the coronavirus outbreak that led to the postponement of the race. F1 will look to put the race back in at a later date in the season, but depending on how long the season goes on for, it is unknown whether the race will be reinstated.
The race was set to be the first in the country since 1985 before yesterday's announcement, as F1's popularity in the Netherlands soars as Max Verstappen rises to the top.
Lammers told motorsport.com: "We’ve accepted the fact that it might be one of the consequences. There are countries where the virus hasn’t even entered. Where are we on the graph of the peak?
"In China it’s getting back in control, but in which stage are we at the moment? It’s something that we’d like to think we’re in control of, but we’re not, it’s the virus that has us all in its grip.
"Of course we feel bad for the fan, but at the same time the fan lives in the same world that we do."
