British driver Jaime Chadwick has taken the first ever pole position in the new W series. Chadwick smashed the field and was 1.7 seconds ahead of her closest challenger.
Tricky, wet conditions around the Hockenheimring didn't provide any trouble for the 20-year-old as she recorded a best lap of 1:58.894, almost 2 seconds faster than her closest rival.
Fabienne Wohlwend will also line up on the front row of the grid for tomorrow's race which runs alongside the DTM series. Chadwick, born in Bath, also topped the FP1 and FP2 sessions.
Another British driver, Alice Powell, managed to produce a carbon copy of Sebastian Vettel's off in Germany last season. But Powell managed to qualify in 6th place for the first ever W Series race on Sunday.
