Jackie Stewart becomes the latest ex-driver to take a dig at Max Verstappen after his recent crashes. Yesterday, Verstappen told reports he’d “headbutt” the next reporter who asks that question.
Stewart, a British Formula 1 legend, reminded us of Verstappen’s skills but went on to give him some advice for coming races.
“Max is an extraordinary fast driver and quite remarkable for his age,” said Jackie Stewart.
“However, the number of accidents that he has had must surely be extremely frustrating, to him as much as the team.
"He has surely got all the skills, but he categorically has got to put more effort into controlling his enthusiasm. My theory was ‘to finish first, first, you must finish’.”
