Internet reacts critically to Honda news: 'This is such a big scam'

Honda left the sport after Max Verstappen's title victory in 2021, but continued to support Red Bull Powertrains' engine division into the new season. Now the Japanese brand has officially confirmed that it will continue to support Red Bull Racing through to 2025. Not everyone on the internet reacts enthusiastically to the news.

Fans mainly criticise the freezing of engine development. That was Red Bull's wish so they could continue to drive with Honda engines in the coming seasons. Now that the Japanese brand will remain in the sport until 2025, fans are not happy with the rule.

This Red Bull Powertrains project is a farce. Red Bull is using Honda engines (which became very good) and will continue to use theme until 2025. I don't know why they label theme Red Bull Powertrains when they're Honda PUs.
