Andrea Kimi Antonelli has claimed his first ever pole position in Miami in Sprint Qualifying. The Italian managed to outperform both the McLarens and Max Verstappen. The internet could not praise the youngster enough after the session. During only his sixth weekend in F1, Antonelli managed to already put his car up in first place for the Sprint in Miami. He is the first teenager to claim pole position for a Sprint or a Grand Prix, beating Sebastian Vettel's record from 2008.
It is also the first time he managed to outqualify George Russell. What makes this achievement more impressive is that the Briton has been on fine form so far in 2025, but had a different strategy in SQ3 to his teammate.
