After the Canadian Grand Prix, Formula 1 drivers got a weekend off, and each made good use of it. Max Verstappen opts for a family weekend, while a number of others meet up again to compete. Albeit not on a circuit... In the run-up to the Austrian GP, there is a weekend off in F1-land. With 24 races on the calendar, they will thoroughly enjoy it,
like Verstappen does on his yacht. Others seek more action, including an almost full Australian battle on the track.
Verstappen spends time with his family
New father Verstappen takes time not just to recover between the busy F1 season. Earlier, he was seen participating under an alias in endurance racing, though he will not directly partake in a race. Lack of time availability, and possibly also the opinion of employer Red Bull, probably play a decisive role in this. Instead of racing, the Dutchman chooses a weekend of rest on his brand-new yacht.
What do the other (ex and current) F1 drivers do?
George Russell spent a portion of his weekend competing with some Australian colleagues. Not on a circuit though.

Valtteri Bottas made it a different party altogether. As we've know him in recent years. The reserve driver immerses himself Texas-style.
Former F1 driver Kubica at the 'Alonso-club'
Robert Kubica, former Formula 1 driver and race winner, now also has a Le Mans 24 hours victory to his name. There he had the time to reply Fernando Alonso, who achieved the same feat. Though Kubica did not become a champion in F1 due to all circumstances surrounding a rather horrid rallying crash.
Many drivers in New York for F1 movie
Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, attended the premiere of the new Formula 1 movie in New York just like several F1 drivers. Verstappen was absent: he spent time with family. Leclerc was accompanied by a large group of peers from F1, Including teammate
Lewis Hamilton.
