For Sergio Perez, qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix ended with a lot of damage to his car. The Mexican drove hard into the wall in the closing stages, causing a red flag on the track and allowing the other drivers to come in as well. However, Christian Horner is not worried about Perez's car, he revealed in Red Bull Racing's press release .
Perez let it be known after qualifying that he was not happy with his fellow drivers. Indeed, the track was crowded and, according to the Mexican, that contributed to his crash. "Naturally Checo is frustrated," Horner, who saw Max Verstappen finish in fourth place, responded to the incident.
Although the damage to Perez's car appeared to be substantial, Horner is not worried for now. "We’ll get the car back and see what the damage is, but this year of course, like engines, you have three gearboxes you can use for the year without a penalty."

Horner expresses confidence in Verstappen and Perez

Verstappen was just completing a fast lap at the moment Perez collided, but he had to abort it. As a result, he will start Sunday afternoon behind Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Perez. Horner says he is confident that his drivers will have a great race.
