The Spa-Francorchamps circuit was also the scene of another display of power by Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. The Dutchman managed to score quite a few points again this weekend. However, the point for the fastest race lap did not go to the Red Bull driver. Lewis Hamilton snatched the point on the final lap of the Belgian Grand Prix.

Horner on Verstappen proposal

The bickering between Verstappen and race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase eventually resulted in a joke over the board radio in which the Dutchman told them that a bit of pit stop training would not hurt. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner did not think it was a good idea to do another stop, he told GPblog, among others.
"We didn't want to get too greedy because we won the sprint race earlier, that's why we didn't do a stop. We wanted to finish the day, we didn't want to end with a debacle. We didn't want to take the risk, so to give away one point, I don't think anyone will lose much sleep over that today," Horner said after Sunday's race.
