Horner unhappy with Kravitz: 'Usually not talking from his mouth'

Ted Kravitz, the pit reporter for Sky Sports, had reported that Max Verstappen had a problem with the car. Christian Horner was asked a question from another Sky Sports journalist. The British team boss reacted to this.

This is not the first time Red Bull has not been happy with a statement made by Kravitz. The pit reporter said in 2022 that Verstappen could not win a world title in a normal way. He stated this after the Dutchman overtook Lewis Hamilton on the last lap at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and still became world champion in a confusing way at the Japan Grand Prix. Red Bull decided to stop doing interviews with Sky Sports. This boycott was lifted again after proper consultation.

Yet yesterday came another exasperated reaction from Horner after Kravitz's statement. The Red Bull team boss stated: "Ted’s always talking… usually not out of his mouth. There’s always things electrically you can tidy up. There’s some driveability stuff that Max wants us to tune before the race. [There was no issue] from a reliability point of view." So there was no issue in terms of reliability with the RB19. Verstappen eventually managed to win the sprint race.
