Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has made it clear that the reigning world champions are not ready to throw in the towel on the 2025 Formula 1 title fight, despite a growing challenge from rivals McLaren and Mercedes.
Following recent setbacks and increased competition at the front of the grid, Horner remained resolute in his belief that Red Bull can claw their way back into dominant form, especially with a long season still ahead.
"I mean, the points gap — there's still a significant points gap between us and them [Mclaren]," Horner acknowledged. "But we don't give up on anything."
In the Drivers’ Standings, Oscar Piastri leads by 43 points over Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who is currently third. In terms of the Constructors', Red Bull are further behind. McLaren currently lead that championship with 173 points, ahead of Mercedes, while Red Bull sit close behind in third.

Horner: There's a lot of racing to come

Although Red Bull is currently behind, Horner believes the sheer volume of upcoming races — particularly with multiple Sprint weekends still to come — provides ample opportunity for the team to regain lost ground.
"We're not even at the halfway point yet. There's a lot of racing, a lot of sprint races coming up," he said. "If we can keep chipping away and getting performance on the car, then nobody gives up on anything."
His message was clear: while Red Bull may no longer be cruising at the front, their title fight is far from over. With continued upgrades and strategic focus, Horner believes the team can rise to meet the challenge and reassert their dominance in the second half of the season.
