Christian Horner is gloomy about his team's chances of winning the constructors' title. Red Bull are twenty-eight points behind Mercedes after Sergio Perez crashed into the wall at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. However, anything can still happen in the drivers' championship, and the team boss stresses that Max Verstappen still leads the standings.
"In the constructors' championship, we're on the back foot. We need a miracle to win that," Horner admitted in conversation with The Independent. "We’ve got one more shot to have a go at winning the title with Max. Someone, Lewis or Max, will come out on top after next weekend."

Horner remains hopeful for final race Abu Dhabi

"The drivers' title is where the prestige is. That's what people remember," continued the Red Bull Racing team boss. He believes Mercedes have the momentum but assures Verstappen will 'fight like a lion' and that Red Bull will pull out all the stops to win the final race.
The Briton is therefore hopeful for Abu Dhabi, particularly given the changes that have been made to the circuit. "They've changed some things, so it's a different variant to the circuit," he explained. "We’re going to come out of this weekend and go to Abu Dhabi tied on the world championship, leading by the virtue of race wins."

Horner does not dare to predict who will win the world title on Sunday. "I have no idea. Obviously, we’ve seen performance in recent races, the form is with Mercedes but again Max has fought like a lion this weekend. He’s given it everything," said the Red Bull team boss.
