Red Bull Racing have taken the precaution of performing an engine change on Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Christian Horner told Viaplay.
Both drivers had a disappointing qualifying session. While Perez failed to even reach Q2, Verstappen had to settle for a tenth starting position due to problems with his car. It gave Red Bull the reason to take care of the engine.
"Both drivers were able to change engines without taking a penalty, so that's why we elected to do it," he explained. "It's just a question of trying to limit the damage."

Verstappen and Perez well away in Hungary

Although the Red Bull drivers may have started the race in the middle of the grid, they were able to fight their way to the front at the start. After fifteen laps, Verstappen is in fifth position, while Perez has his teammate in front.
