New Formula 2 constructor Hitech Grand Prix have announced their line-up for the 2020 season as Luca Ghiotto and Nikita Mazepin will be filling their seats for the upcoming championship.
Hitech were previously active as a constructor in Formula 3, finishing 2019 as the runner-up before announcing their step up to Formula 2.
In Ghiotto and Mazepin, Hitech have two drivers with F2 experience as both youngsters competed in 2019. Ghiotto finished last year in third place as he took four wins while Mazepin stayed 11th in the championship, although the 20-year-old Russian did finish third last year in the Asian F3 championship (with Hitech).
Ghiotto, who enters his fifth season in GP2/F2, said he is ambitious for the upcoming season, saying he has his "sights set on a strong season with them." Mazepin added he is "very much looking forward to the challenge given the new car updates and the 18-inch wheels."
The F2 season gets underway on March 1st with pre-season testing in Bahrain.
