Hero MotoSport stop racing in Dakar Rally 2020 after Goncalves passing

On the seventh stage of the 2020 Dakar Rally, Paulo Goncalves died after a crash caused a cardiac arrest. Goncalves was part of the Hero MotoSports team who have since withdrawn from the rally.

The motorcycle racer suffered a cardiac arrest during the seventh leg of the rally. It was a black day for the entire event and every motorsport enthusiast. The next day's stage was therefore canceled for the motorcyclists.

Following the tragic death of the forty-year-old driver, his team, Hero MotoSports, has decided to withdraw from the Dakar.

The team lets us know via twitter that they are no longer participating. Under the tweet, the team shares a text about the situation within the team and why they hae decided not to continue the adventure.
