Lewis Hamilton has struggled with his Mercedes car in the last few races, but today the Brit has qualified in P4 and is over the moon with his performance on a wet track in Canada.
"I feel amazing, so happy. P4 has never felt so good, to be honest. When I was in my first year of racing in 2007, when I got my first P4 in qualifying, this kinda feels like that," he told Sky Sports after the session.

Hamilton acknowledges struggles

The circuit was wet throughout the whole session and a dry line didn't show until the end of Q3, with the Brit explaining how hard it was on the track: "the car didn't feel great through the session, so I think tomorrow we should be in a much better position. We have a slightly different set-up still for the race, George's way was just better. Hopefully, we can stay in that position, but with this car, you need everything and more to come together."
