Hamilton left out of 2025 top-ten drivers list

Formula 1’s published poll once again crowned Max Verstappen at the top, with the Dutchman voted Driver of the Year for a fifth consecutive time.
Lando Norris also remains unchanged in second place, mirroring last year’s result despite having clinched the world title at Verstappen’s expense.
Completing the podium in this special ranking is Oscar Piastri, reflecting his final position in the drivers’ standings and moving up one place compared to last year’s fourth.
Fourth place went to George Russell, coming off the strongest season of his career in terms of results and notably the only driver outside of McLaren and Red Bull to score a race win in the recently concluded campaign.

Fifth was Fernando Alonso, who once again carried the flag for Aston Martin despite a difficult season results-wise, climbing an impressive four places compared to last year.
Sixth place belonged to Carlos Sainz, who in his first year with Williams delivered two surprise podiums, bouncing back after a challenging opening phase of the season in which he struggled against his new team-mate.
By contrast, Charles Leclerc suffered a sharp drop, paying the price for Ferrari’s disastrous campaign as he slid four places compared to last year’s third position.
Among the new entries are Oliver Bearman and Isack Hadjar, both of whom impressed with strong seasons—particularly the Frenchman, whose results earned him a promotion to Red Bull for next year alongside Verstappen.
Rounding out the top ten is Nico Hülkenberg, whose standout moment of the season was a long-awaited first career podium at Silverstone, achieved at the wheel of an otherwise uncompetitive Sauber.
Remarkably, Hamilton was left out of the top ten altogether, receiving no votes from the team principals after enduring the worst results season of his career, finishing the year without a single podium.
