Lewis Hamilton has shared his thoughts on what sets the Scuderia Ferrari team apart from other Formula 1 outfits.
“They all have their qualities, but Italians wear their emotions more obviously.”

The seven-time champion, who spoke in an interview with Ferrari Magazine, highlighted the vibrancy that defines the Maranello-based outfit before touching on the passionate supporters of the team.
He said: “The others are a bit less colourful. They all have their qualities, but Italians wear their emotions more obviously, for good and bad, but mostly for the good. You see the passion every day, in the way Italians talk about food, for example. In England, you don’t get excited talking about fish and chips.”

Hamilton further reflected on the magnitude of his move to Ferrari. The seven-time champion admitted that the move turned out to be more powerful than he anticipated.
He continued: “I knew that aligning our brands would be big. But it still hits you, and you’re like, ‘This is even more powerful than I imagined.’”
“It’s beautiful, and there have been plenty of positives, although a lot of responsibility and weight come with it. Everyone expects to win straight away, but ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day.’”

Hamilton’s stint at Ferrari so far

The seven-time champion has endured a challenging start to his chapter with the Ferrari team. Hamilton recently etched his name into an unwanted record after failing to clinch a podium through the first 20 races of the campaign so far.
As a result, the British driver is set to lose another of his long-standing records, as he will fail to record at least five podium finishes in an F1 season for the first time in his 18-year career.
