Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to starting the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. At the same time, he does not understand why the FIA is allowing the event to take place in the country. He therefore spoke out during the press conference to, among others, ESPN.
Last year, for the first time, a Formula 1 race took place in Saudi Arabia. Although Hamilton emerged victorious from a fierce battle with Max Verstappen, the Briton is not at all pleased that the motorsport class has again chosen to organize a GP in the country.
Speaking to the press present, Hamilton once again pointed to issues taking place in the country. "It's obviously mind-blowing to hear the stories," states Hamilton. "I've heard that there's a letter sent to me from a 14-year-old that's on death row. When you are 14 you don't know what the hell you are doing in life."

Mercedes looks for improvements

Behind the scenes, meanwhile, Hamilton is working hard to improve his car. The race in Bahrain made it clear that a lot still needs to be done for Mercedes to compete with Red Bull Racing and Ferrari. Hamilton seems to realize that there is still plenty of work to be done.
