Hamilton blames Verstappen: "He knew what was going to happen"

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen collided again. The two rivals for the 2021 World Championship touched after the pit stops in the Italian Grand Prix. Verstappen ended up on top of Hamilton, and the two were forced to retire.

In his interview with Sky Sports, Hamilton reported that he was feeling okay, but felt the crash. "I'm a little bit stiff, and sore on my neck because it landed on my neck but I'll be okay," Hamilton said after the Grand Prix had finished.

On lap one, Hamilton moved up to third place and was on the attack. At the chicane, Hamilton and Verstappen touched wheels and Hamilton went across the kerbstones. The Brit believes Verstappen should've done the same in the middle of the race.

"He absolutely should've done what I did at turn four on lap. I went around the outside, I gave way. That's racing. He knew what was going to happen. He knew he was going over the kerbs. We'll go to the stewards and we'll see," Hamilton said.
